In 2017, we helped 72 startups and small businesses raise more than $25 million.

Together, we funded audacious moonshots like LPPFusion to create a cleaner and cheaper energy system. We increased access to capital in rural areas like the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation by funding Native American Natural Foods. We helped communities fund their own local businesses like Grit Grocery, a mobile grocery store with fresh produce, and a Ben and Jerry’s franchise on Venice Beach.

We accomplished a lot towards building a community of investors and founders: we hosted a forum for female founders in Oakland, led a Demo Day for B Corps, and took our second cross-country train trip to meet founders and investors outside of the Silicon Valley bubble.
