We feed our dogs a raw diet, but have looked all over for a kibble that would substitute for raw food when we are traveling or away and the dogs are with sitters. Everything called "low carb dog food" that we have tried before now still caused intestinal problems and lots of going to the bathroom. I just started my 7- month old pit-mix on Ketona. She has no health issues as of now and I want to keep it that way. I have read about all the detremential issue carbs cause in a dog’s diet, from allergies to cancer. So, Ketona is the brand I chose — very low in carbs. I supplement Izzy’s Ketona with a homemade diet full of meat and veggies. She woofs down her meals everyday. Her coat is shiny and she has tons of energy. Wow! My golden retriever loves Ketona!I was in the market for a high protein-low carb dog food, and the options weren’t great.When searching for “high protein dog food” one may find many brands selling their “high protein” option with 20%-27% protein (which is very low).I think having 40%,50% and sometimes even 60% carbs in your dog’s diet is a terrible idea that could lead to countless health issues.When I finally found Ketona I couldn’t be happier because their (truly) high protein and (truly) low carb dog food is fantastic!I would recommend this dog food to anyone concerned about their dog’s wellbeing. After researching the healthiest food for my dogs I decided they would do best on a raw food diet or ketogenic. I found going all raw to be expensive and I lacked storage space. I also didn’t want any nutritional deficiencies. I decided to look for a high quality kibble. Finding a low carb dog food was very hard. Most brands that claimed to be low carb were not. This dog food is is excellent! Both dogs really enjoy it. It’s great to be able to serve a kibble for convenience and know it’s still a great quality food. I recommend this to fans of raw food diets who may need kibble for travel or to supplement with raw. I give my dogs raw foods with their Ketona.

My dogs LOVE this food! It was very easy to transition them over from their old food and they haven't had any "digestive issues". Looking forward to them losing weight. The other so called low carb dog foods just can't compare. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.
