What a ride it’s been.
Just one year ago, LIXIR hit the market — and since then, we've become the best-selling alcohol brand at multiple organic retailers. We've produced and sold out of tens of thousands of cans, multiple times over. And now, we're gearing up for rollout in major retailers in the coming weeks. I can’t wait to see where we go next.
Creating an entirely new category — Hard Honey — has been no small task. We weren’t launching another beer, seltzer, or canned cocktail. This was something totally new, and we didn’t know how the market would respond. But the response has been overwhelmingly positive, and I’m so grateful to our retail partners and customers for believing in the vision.
After bootstrapping LIXIR early on, we realized it was time to scale — more production, more marketing, and a bigger team. So we opened our first funding round and started reaching out.
From cold emails came incredible momentum. We landed investors who told us they’d been waiting for a company to modernize mead — the long-forgotten category. These investors now include the CEO of Sprouts, the founder of BrewDog, Jeff Church of Suja, and many others who believe in what we’re building.
