NEW HIRE 🚨 Head of Sales: Craig Sternberg

Published on Oct 27, 2021

Craig Sternberg is a fourth generation musician who’s unique experience makes him an expert in balancing both the creative and business sides of the music industry. With over 15 years of experience, Craig brings innovative strategies and expertise in business development, sales, marketing, artist relations, and strategic partnerships.

After beginning his career by managing two well known Los Angeles recording studios, Craig co-founded Sick Drummer Magazine before moving on to work with 3volution Productions, where he created award-winning music for video game soundtracks. Since then, Craig had been splitting his time between working as a freelance Composer/Sound Designer and consulting for startups in the music industry, where he has developed a portfolio of success stories in fueling sales revenue in existing and new markets.

As the Head of Sales for Impact Soundworks, Craig quarterbacked the company’s entry into the B2B market, expanding the customer base by 48% while multiplying sales 20% over the previous year. As the Director of Marketing & E-Commerce at Keyboard Concepts, Craig played a critical role in navigating the company through the COVID pandemic, raising overall sales 27% and pre-owned sales 35% while trimming their advertising spend.

Earlier in his career, Craig generated a 40% spike in revenue and $1M+ in annual sales for 3volution Productions by negotiating a partnership with SEGA & Marvel for video game projects. He also bolstered sales 62% at ASP Alt Strum Productions by winning high-end artists to feature their music in the Rock Band video game series.

We look forward to bringing you updates as he signs up his first few advertising customers for Vampr 🔥 In the meantime I sat down with Craig this week for a quick interview so our investors can get to know him a little better --

Q: What attracted you to join the Vampr team and what are you hoping to bring to the company dynamic?

Craig: I’ve always been attracted to working with companies that are pushing the music industry forward in new and exciting ways. The way Vampr connects artists with each other and helps them monetize their work is a game changer within our industry, and I’m excited to be a part of a company that is dedicated to helping musicians through every step of their careers.

I’m confident that my deep experience in growing startups as well as my work as a musician gives me a unique perspective that will help Vampr continue it’s explosive growth long term. Ultimately, I’m hoping to leverage my expertise in business development, sales, marketing, artist relations and strategic partnerships to help the company grow in any way I can.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish in your role as Head of Sales for the company?

My primary goal is to connect awesome brands that share our core values with Vampr’s growing and passionate user base. The vast majority of Vampr’s user base is at the beginning of their musical journey, and I would like to connect them with brands that can help them improve their skills, inspire them, and even help them take the next step in their career.

Q: How do you position Vampr when approaching potential advertisers and why is it the best place for brands to advertise their products & services?

Vampr is the best place for brands to advertise their products and services because it’s a platform specifically geared around making new connections. Not only do our users connect with each other, they connect with the brands they see inside of the Vampr platform.

Our audience of young budding professionals at the beginning of their musical journey happen to be the perfect demographic for brands to connect with, because our users are actively searching for brands that will help them create the music of their dreams and help them take the next step in their careers. It’s a unique opportunity for brands to get in on the ground floor of an explosive growth platform with over 1M users and facilitate lifelong connections with the most sought after demographic in the music industry.
