Hello Wefunder Investors,

We’ve now almost concluded the sixth month since the WeFunder third round financing was initiated. As in previous months, I wanted to provide you with an update on the many things happening with the OodlesDeals mobile app, and overall at the company.

As I write this month’s update, it’s evident that the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic will be felt for an extended period of time. For our restaurant-partners, not only are they navigating the ups-and-downs of the Coronavirus infection growth trends reoccurring in each of the three states where OodlesDeals is present, but many are facing severe financial stress, and cannot wait until University students return to school to increase their business volume. They need help now.

Our Restaurant Partners Inspire Us To Act

This reality for our customers has instilled a renewed purpose in the entire Oodles management team. With a sense of urgency, we are restarting our in-field efforts and marketing push to energize communities to support their local restaurants during the summer. The immediate first step of this pivot is to extend the reach of the app, to local residents in each of the geographies where Oodles is present.

In my March ’20 monthly update, when the Coronavirus Pandemic was in its infancy, I noted the OodlesDeals app is based on a powerful consumer insight - people crave spending time together to strengthen their personal relationships, and eating out together is one of the biggest ways this comes to life. With our restaurant partners health in mind, there’s no better time to act on this insight than now.

The Oodles Sales team is driving multiple initiatives with this localized consumer target as a focus, from enabling marketing activities that grow awareness of the app with local residents, to reaching out to civic/governmental organizations to drive support within their communities for their locally-anchored restaurants. We will conduct these activities, always keeping within the Health directives of local and state authorities.

I will provide details of the outcomes of these activities in our monthly updates over the next several months.

Same UX, More Familiar UI

Given that the OodlesDeals app is growing to a more general consumer target, the Oodles Product Development team felt it necessary to adapt the User Interface of the app. They did not want new users spending a lot of time acclimatizing themselves to the app, instead making it similar in user design to many of the apps they already use.

The following is the new front page of the app currently under development — the app is morphing from a horizontal scrolling approach, to a more familiar vertical scrolling approach.

While the User Interface will be more familiar, the User Experience will stay the same.

As you know, this process of enabling users to invite friends and spend time together is a patented protected one, and is what makes the OodlesDeals app truly unique and added-value to use.

The OodlesDeals management team is eager to help the local communities and restaurants who’ve been involved with us for many years — this is our pledge to #supportlocal!

On behalf of Asheesh and the entire OodlesDeals management team, I ask you to stay healthy, and stay safe during this time of crisis. We are all in this together.
