Hey All,

I apologize for the lack of communication in recent weeks. Like so many, we have been caught in the whirlwind that has been the coronavirus and trying to figure out how to chart a course in this shifting environment. While trying to navigate the daily changes, we've barely had an opportunity to come up for air for a broader view of this epidemic and its lasting impact on our operations.

Until we closed the brewpubs on March 16th, Amplified was having a great year, with 30% year-over-year growth and operating in the black. Our loan was in process for Lemon Grove and we had the additional $100,000 committed to get to our $300,000 WeFunder goal.   But on March 16th, our future definitively changed as we closed all operations, furloughed employees, and received confirmation that our pending SBA-loan for Lemon Grove would be suspended a minimum of 90 days as the SBA focuses on the CARES Act.

With our expansion no longer in place and without a clear idea of when we will be able to re-open the brewpubs, we have no way to forecast future revenue for Amplified. And without any guidance on revenue, we can't in good conscience seek funding for investment. So this leaves us in the unfortunate position of indefinitely suspending our crowdfunding campaign, and returning all committed capital.

Amplified has received approval for a PPP loan through the CARES act, which will fund employee wages and allow us to resume limited brewery production and possibly take-out food in the coming weeks. But, unfortunately, we don't foresee a near-term future where communal seating in our beer gardens will be a popular option, and certainly not to the extent that we had previously forecast. Recent days have further confirmed the new operating paradigm we are all entering, as social distancing normalizes and we all learn to live, at least in the short term, with the constant threat of this deadly virus. There is no doubt this crisis threatens our long-term viability and there is a real risk we don't survive a lengthy social-distancing environment.

We really appreciate all of those who have been with us through all of this and your loyalty means the world to us. But right now, we're going to ask all of you to hold onto your investment cash and hopefully we'll all find better opportunities in the future. We will continue to provide periodic updates and hope to share some better news with you all soon.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and thank you all for the tremendous support. We can't wait for the day we can host all of you in our beer garden again. In the meanwhile, you can continue supporting us by ordering pick-up beer from us on Saturdays, noon-5pm, and ordering merchandise from our website, with 100% of merch proceeds going towards an employee fund.

Cheers,

Alex
