Dear Venomyx investors and community,

We're happy to report that this year is off to an excellent start and has yielded some exciting developments for us!  Our R&D projects are moving through the pipeline and we are getting great preclinical data for use in our Investigative New Drug package for the FDA. We have a synergistic collaboration with a team at UCSD underway in which we are investigating additional venom toxins as well as some bacterial toxins. 

As you all know, we will need to raise our full round of funding ($1.2M) in order to reach clinical trials so we have been talking with investors and potential partners that are interested in joining us on this journey. We are also currently applying for a grant with the Wellcome Trust as part of their new Snakebite Fund! They are a fantastic organization who has stepped up for Snakebite and we've heard excellent things from our colleagues who have worked with them in the past. Lastly, we'll be moving into a new lab space near UCSD which will provide access to better equipment needed for upcoming studies. Our goal is to be in clinical trials next year and we look forward to updating here on our progress on a quarterly basis.
