With 2019 coming to an end, it's the perfect time to reflect on the past year and review growth, achievements, and lessons learned. 2019 has been a year of many “firsts” at Conveso and I wanted to take a moment to share some of our accomplishments. Before I do, I want to ask a small favor of you. Please take a moment and make sure you are following us on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. This will allow us keep you updated in real time.

Team - We've been growing! At the beginning of 2019, the majority of our team was part time. We currently have eleven team members! This includes advisors, as well as seven full time employees.

Customers - Our goal is to delight customers with our product and support. In November, I had the pleasure of meeting with one of our first customers, M&M Multimedia, and recording a great testimonial video, which is shown below. We also published 4 in-depth case studies and have a full pipeline of additional success stories for early 2020.

Product - This year saw many performance optimizations and end user features released. Here is a short list of some of the features:

  • Site Backup, Restore, and Cloning - Now you can restore a backup or create a new site from a backup snapshot.
  • Page Access Rules - Similar to a web application firewall, you can password protect pages, block access from IP, IP Ranges, or Countries, and much more.
  • Page Optimizations - This is probably my favorite feature as I have spent countless hours optimizing sites for high Google PageSpeed scores. Now, you can manage all those pesky settings in Convesio, no plugins required.

Infrastructure - We started the year with one North America cluster and somewhere around 200 websites. We are ending the year with 10 clusters in the United States, Australia, and the UK on both Amazon and Google Cloud.

Operations - A big project this year was releasing our billing system which is built completely in-house and integrated with Stripe for payment processing. As of the end of the year, we've successfully had 3 months of billing our beta clients.

Finance - Three major events in finance this year: we successfully closed our Regulation CF campaign on Dec 9th. While we are still waiting for the final numbers, we exceeded our goal of raising $1MM. We were also accepted into Amazon and Google’s startup program both of which come with $100k in credit for the 12 months. This is equivalent to another $200k in investment capital, as we are a data center heavy product.

Investor Update

Please keep an eye out for a separate notice on our investor call. This call will be held at the end of January and we will be sending access information and details as soon as they are finalized.

In closing, I want to personally thank each of our customers and investors for your amazing support and encouragement. It is the fuel that drives our team! Your belief in Convesio and our mission to transform hosting for WordPress has meant so much to us and we look forward to working together in 2020.
