At Barracuda in New Orleans, aloe gets involved in this margarita! “The Eight of Hearts is a margarita variation, created by our all-pro beverage friend Anna Giordano, using Tequila Ocho Plata, with the addition of Chareau Aloe Liqueur, pineapple syrup, and tepache that we make at the restaurant. Tepache is a traditional fermented pineapple probiotic beverage from Mexico, and lends natural effervescence, cider-y funk, and pineapple aroma to the drink. The Chareau adds some citrus peel, melon, and vegetal stuff to the mix. The result is a lower proof, fresh margarita that happens to be kinda good for you,” says owner Brett Jones.

I prescribe Highland Tequilas, with tropical organic product notes as a guide. Drier increasingly appetizing styles from the dissertation abstract Valley don't appear to do too in this beverage. I'm a major devotee of Ocho, which is made by a similar family as Tapatio.
