On Vin Social.

I created Vin Social to democratize access to the wine lifestyle. The wine industry is antiquated and ripe for digital transformation. The market conditions of 2020 had a massive, negative impact on small batch makers and sommeliers. We're providing a durable opportunity for them to grow their businesses and careers online. We're especially proud of supporting DEI by partnering with minority-led small businesses.

On being a founder.

Being a woman founder means fighting the odds to win, inspiring and uplifting others, making a positive impact, and building a community of like-minded people that believe in my vision.

The biggest obstacle on my journey has been rapidly scaling a company remotely amidst a global pandemic – whilst also being a mother of a 3 year old. This leads on to my advice for other aspiring young woman entrepreneurs – there is no such thing as an overnight success. Most success stories we see in the wild have involved years of really hard work, resiliency, sacrifice, and grit. I have had to unlearn perfectionism. Perfection gets in the way of progress every time.

The best thing about being a woman founder is the endless, amazing community of other women founders out there going for it. Endless inspiration! It’s wonderful to have so many amazing women out there willing to help, give advice and make an introduction.
