Our Team

A world designed to the scale and detail of Middle-earth or a galaxy far, far away

Our fans are already telling stories together. Here's what paid subscribers say:

I truly feel like Exile is the game I've been waiting for." - Ella

The feeling of discovery in World of Vesser games, in exploring a world I don't know of mystery and wonder. I haven't craved the next episode of a thing this much since Firefly went off the air.” - Kevin

Three figures are shown, each within their own blue circle. First a Runzhé with blue coloring in their skin and feathers, second a human with black hair wearing long sleeves and a leather vest, and third a Torrifex.

Large media companies are stagnant and their old playbook is no longer working.

Audiences want a new approach to immersive and interactive storytelling.

Storytelling matters.

Storytelling exists as a fundamental foundation for how people forge societal bonds. Our ancestors used stories as tools while they gathered around campfires to build relationships and the future we live in now. Today however, societal shifts have deepened a growing void that prevents people from accessing meaningful human connection. This epidemic of loneliness is so dire that in 2023, the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness a health hazard for Americans.

World of Vesser is a gaming and entertainment property that places a strategic bet on younger generations’ demands for new stories. It allows them to connect with other people while addressing the challenges the traditional entertainment market is facing.

We have the solution to give audiences agency over what they can do—and they can do it together.

Six images are shown. First, a phone showing the podcast "Building Vesser" being played. Second, two cards with Runzhé characters along with a D20 die. Third, a stack of adventure books with "Expedition to the Suntower" laying on top. Fourth, a graphic novel called "The Rise of Valon." Fifth, a board design from the game "The Garden of Suktu." Sixth, a living room scene with a person watching a virtual production of a live play video series from World of Vesser.

World of Vesser is a franchise designed to be sustainable and successful across a variety of media. While the IP is capable of the weight major franchises carry, the team understands the journey begins with the initial product offerings that build the fan base.

Initially, World of Vesser is planning to launch the following products over the next 3 quarters:

  1. Tabletop Role-Playing Game (TTRPG) Subscription model - TTRPGs are vehicles that directly target the key elements of storytelling. In order to facilitate adoption, WoV has already launched a subscription service that provides matchmaking, hosted games, and informational services to keep players engaged. With a growing waitlist, people are being invited in waves to join as paid subscribers.
  2. Physical Board Game - an introductory game that invites people into WoV quickly and easily, while giving them exposure to the TTRPG experience.
  3. Video Series - one of the fastest growing content genres is watching people play TTRPGs. Content created around gaming properties continues to prove very successful with TTRPG fans watching over 4.3 billion minutes of related video annually. The most successful of these shows involve celebrity participation. World of Vesser’s show has an oversubscribed cast of personalities made up of Hollywood notables and TTRPG fan favorites.

World of Vesser is a fully realized world that not only offers a robust world of lore, it also places each individual at the center of their own story. Players have the capacity to effect changes in the world, create myths, and invent narrative history alongside writers and game designers.

World of Vesser comes from the mind that architected the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.

The market is growing—fast!

At over $300 Billion in annual revenue, the gaming industry makes more revenue each year than the music industry and Hollywood combined (Nasdaq, 2023). This trend is only growing with 40% of Gen Z and Millennials saying they socialize more in games than they do in the physical world (Deloitte, 2023).

Because of these societal shifts, three integrated markets have exploded in the last decade:

  1. Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) - The global tabletop role-playing games market is anticipated to rise at a considerable rate between 2023 and 2030. In the last seven years alone, TTRPG brands such as Dimension 20, Critical Role, and Geek & Sundry have grown to millions of viewers and have sparked literal exponential growth (10x) in the space. Annual revenues exceed $180 million. Popular TTRPG brand Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) estimates their player count has grown to over 50 million players.
  2. Role-Playing Games (RPGs) - Audiences have increasing interest in RPGs based on the massive success of video games like Baldur’s Gate III and Cyberpunk 2077. Currently, there are over 3.2 billion video gamers worldwide as of 2023. With an average age of 35, 48% identify themselves as female, and 52% of gamers subscribe to at least one gaming service. This market is seeing over $63 billion in annual revenue.
  3. Media & Entertainment - TV, film, graphic novels, podcasts, and other narrative media have the potential to reach billions of users. Recent estimates of the media and entertainment sector place it as a $2.3 trillion market that is expected to grow over the next 5 years.

These trends tell the story of the growing and shifting landscape. Specific examples highlight how our strategy of leveraging TTRPGs into larger media franchises is sound and repeatable. The breakout video game hit Cyberpunk 2077 began its journey as a TTRPG called Cyberpunk. CD Projekt Red adapted that property into a video game to cement sales of over 25 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077 within 3 years of release. During the success of the video game’s launch, an anime series set within the same franchise was produced by Netflix called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Edgerunners was so well received it went on to win Anime of the Year in March of 2023.

Another recent success story involves Dungeons & Dragons, which is a well known franchise in the TTRPG genre. The Dungeons & Dragons franchise was licensed by independent studio Larian Studios in their 2023 game release Baldur’s Gate 3. Baldur’s Gate 3 sold over 5 million copies within one month of release. The critical praise for the game has been so unanimous that a large online movement of fans formed to push other game developers to make more games like Baldur’s Gate 3.

This market is primed for an entry like World of Vesser: a property crafted for the future of media consumption while also targeting the deep desires and existential needs of audiences.

Streaming services like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix have already successfully leveraged the TTRPG and gaming communities.

We are already in development on show concepts within World of Vesser for streaming services. This includes both unscripted and scripted formats geared towards audiences preferences on services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Paid subscriber testimonials

Part of why this world is so intriguing is because I can actually be a part of it. Imagine if Stan Lee handed us all markers and blank comic books and told us our little makeshift zines would create their own collective comic universe. Or imagine if Tolkien wrote The Silmarillion, but instead of developing elven languages he started with the physics of magic—and then instead of writing The Lord of the Rings, he let us collectively take the storytelling reins. That’s what World of Vesser feels like.” - Eric

I love the character creation process. It feels like a really cool representation of the commitment the World of Vesser team has to building a world where we create together.” - Zelda

World of Vesser has so many points of entry for new players, whether or not they’re familiar with TTRPGs.” - Clay

I found The Garden of Suktu intuitive, fun, and a breath of fresh air compared to the time and effort I have had to put into running most TTRPGs. I highly recommend it to veteran TTRPG players and those playing for the first time.” - Marcus
