We started in 2016. It's been quite a journey so far, but we are ready to change the world. 

We are a group of AI/ML practitioners and engineers who have worked together for almost a decade. We are taking everything we have learned about  data science and AI and applying that in accelerating Drug Discovery and development.

First, we built an AI platform

Back in 2016, we built what we really knew how to do well: an AI platform. As members of a previous AI.ML startup (Atigeo) we decided to fix the mistakes that we made before and build a better mousetrap by building a kick-ass visual AI/ML platform called Nephos.

It took as a year of working part-time but we finally managed to build something really cool that we would have used ourselves.  

At this point, we realized, it was not enough to have a kick-ass platform but we needed a vertical/domain focus. That is when we chose Drug discovery and development as that focus area.The main reason being, we had personally been affected by various conditions that had no cures and we thought we could put out collective AI/ML experience to better use.

Then we decided to do Drugs..

At this point we partnered with Seattle based non-profit Biotech company called IDRI (Infectious Diseases Institute)  and helped them leverage AI based virtual screening to accelerate TB therapies. We were able to successfully deliver a custom built AI model and pipeline using our Nephos platform.

Now we are totally hooked !

Since the IDRI project, we have dived head first into drug discovery and have productized what we learnt while building custom AI models for them. Out of that came our first Drug Discovery application that runs on our Nephos platform, we called it Dryad.

Dryad helps scientists virtually screen their compounds using built-in ADMET models and visualize them. More importantly it also help them train their own custom AI models for various activity prediction tasks and use them as well. 

Finally it also make it super simple to collaborate with their colleagues and decide which of the compounds need to be further analyzed in the wet lab using a HTS (High throughput screen) to get further down selected.

Now we are raring for a fight (against Covid and other diseases)

Since January, the world has been turned upside down, but we feel we  have been preparing for it for the last 3 years. To help fight Covid and other big bad diseases like it, we are rolling out a new Application called Orpheus. 

Orpheus is built to help ingest, analyze and synthesize all scientific knowledge on a specific disease area like Covid and make it simple for Scientists to search, explore and identify potential drug targets. It is still in the early stages of development but we think it could be a game changer in the world of target identification and exploration.

In total, we've spent over 3 and half years building an AI platform, 2 drug discovery products across 4 continents and learning hundreds of little and big things in drug discovery.  We are on a mission to put our products in the hands of thousands of life scientists all around the world so they can use the power of AI to accelerate drug discovery and development and fight big bad diseases like COVID.
