Hi Team!

There have been a few city-related developments for Dog Parker recently so we're writing with an update.

1) As part of our plan to expand to communities across the US in 2018 Dog Parker has ramped up our city outreach and we have been well received. Interest from city mayors to work with us to bring self-service small-animal shelters to their communities is strong. In relatively short order we've recently secured written or verbal invitations from four new US cities with dozens more conversations underway.

2) As momentum is growing elsewhere, we've run into some unexpected regulatory issues from one agency here in New York. Given that we have broad support from various agencies, business groups and elected officials here and our long term interest is to have a significant presence in the city, we've made the decision to temporarily close our Brooklyn network so we work through the concerns without taking an adversarial position to this agency. In the meantime we are free to operate on private property in NYC, which we will do, and expect to be able to operate on public property again later this year pending some corrective legislative action which has support from local council members and the Mayor's office. Overall this means that our timeline and the nature of our expansion in NYC 2018 will change from the proposed plans. In the meantime we're shifting more organizational resources towards expansion elsewhere.
