6 Free Chrome Extensions That Will Boost Your Productivity

Chrome Extensions for Best Productivity

Do you have any idea of the untapped potential that lies in wait for you in your browser?

What am I talking about? Chrome extensions. Chrome extensions are a chance to utilize some of your favorite websites without even going to them. Right from your current page, you can take advantage of functions that save you time and increase your productivity.

To celebrate the usefulness of these tools, we decided to share some of our favorites. Check ‘em out!

Pocket

We’ve talked about Pocket before and we still can’t get enough. What we didn’t mention is that you never need to go to Pocket’s website – not until you’re ready to start reading your saved articles.

Install the Pocket extension and any time you open an article you want to save for later, just click on the pocket in your toolbar and select the appropriate tag (if you’re using tags to categorize your saved articles). Now there’s no excuse not to build your reading list!

Evernote Web Clipper

If you’re an Evernote fan, make your life even easier by installing their Chrome extension. Just like with Pocket, you can save your current pages for later. But you can do a lot more than just that. You can also save excerpts and annotate the pages you’re saving. Read, note, save, and move on to the next!

Grammarly

Do you find yourself second-guessing your grammar when you’re writing an email? While things like Google Docs and Microsoft Office check your grammar, there are plenty of other programs we use that don’t offer this assistance. Grammarly’s extension will check your grammar no matter what page you’re on. Communicate with confidence!

Google Similar Pages

Is there anything worse than spending hours researching on Google? You can click from page to page for so long that you’re not even sure what you’re reading anymore. If you do a lot of web research for work, save yourself some trouble by downloading the Google Similar Pages extension. It shows articles similar to the one you’re reading so you can move on to new search results that much faster.

TabCloud

If you’re anything like me, then your screen is in a daily battle against the seemingly millions of tabs you have open at one time. But you can’t close any because then you’ll forget to go back!

While keeping multiple tabs open is decidedly not the best way to manage multiple projects, sometimes it just has to be done. That’s where TabCloud comes in. TabCloud saves your window sessions (even across more than one computer) so you can close them out when you need to focus and access them again when you’re ready.

Synata

The amount of time it can take to find information across all our daily platforms can be staggering. Simplify this process for yourself with Synata’s Chrome extension. No matter what you’re looking for, Synata will help you find it with one simple search (instead of opening your email, calendar, Dropbox, etc.). One search is all it takes with Synata!

Never underestimate the power of your Chrome browser when using your favorite tools. Are you using any extensions we didn’t mention here? Let us know in the comments so we can give them a shout out!
