✨ Something Is Taking Shape: From Vision to Deployment

Published on Apr 18
Behind the scenes at Zero-X, one of EX Venture’s most promising portfolio companies, something exciting is unfolding.
What began as a bold idea — turning waste into clean energy and carbon-negative materials — is now entering its next phase: real-world deployment. While much of the world is still grappling with how to address the global waste crisis, Zero-X has quietly been preparing to bring a solution that is as scalable as it is necessary.
🌍 Ready for the World
Over the next 12–18 months, Zero-X is preparing for its first commercial deployment — a major step forward in its journey. The X-150 waste-to-gas system, is modular, mobile, and designed for rapid adaptation in markets facing urgent environmental challenges.
From Australia to South Korea, and from Ghana to Vietnam and Thailand, Zero-X is targeting regions where waste management is not just a need, but a priority. The timing is right — and the solution is ready.
💰 From Innovation to Revenue
As Zero-X brings the X-150 to market, it projects generating approximately $1 million in revenue over the next 12–18 months — a milestone that will enable it to reach cash flow positivity, driven by lean operations and high-margin technology licensing.
Rather than relying on centralized infrastructure, Zero-X is pursuing a decentralized, licensing-based model — making clean tech more agile, accessible, and scalable than ever before.
🔬 Funded to Scale — Built to Last
Zero-X’s technical partner MFC has secured over €7 million in non-repayable grants from the German Ministry of Economics, the State of Saxony, and the European Union. This support will fund R&D through 2027, ensuring Zero-X has the backing it needs to scale its X-150 platform with confidence and resilience.
♻️ Not Just Tech — A Shift in Perspective
Zero-X represents more than a product. It reflects a shift in how we think about waste, value, and regeneration. It’s about creating systems where nothing is wasted, and everything discarded becomes a resource — from energy and heat to long-term carbon storage and local economic value.
At EX Venture, we’re proud to support companies like Zero-X — teams not only building powerful technologies, but reshaping what’s possible.
We’re not just backing hardware.
We’re backing a movement to regenerate the planet.
Something is taking shape. And you’re part of it.
Best,
The EX Venture Team
