We’re excited to announce a new partnership with New Bridge, a trauma-informed social-emotional learning center in Cleveland. New Bridge is focused on upskilling individuals, especially single parents, into healthcare roles that contribute to personal wellbeing, health equity, and family-sustaining wages. 

This partnership is an example of our devotion to impact and presents an opportunity for ongoing user-based research as well as commercial partnerships.

As part of providing critical, real-time support to individuals in high-stress environments, New Bridge has offered Sensates to Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN) students, with devices already distributed to and used by a first cohort of 18 LPN students at New Bridge, who are now part way through an 11-month journey to earn their certification.  Sensate usage is being measured for impact by New Bridge, with those results shared with Sensate for future growth. 

Individuals in this first cohort have shown incredible resilience and determination. One particularly touching story involves a student and her son, who were unhoused at the start of the course. Sensate has played a pivotal role in helping both mother and son find stability, with her son’s sleeping patterns recovering from the nightmares caused by their previous stresses before they settled into subsidized housing. This successful outcome highlights Sensate's potential as a wellbeing tool that can benefit an entire family, extending its benefits beyond individual users.

Students are participating in a monthly survey to assess the impact of Sensate on stabilizing their stress levels, enhancing their wellbeing, and enabling them to thrive during this challenging period. The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, leading New Bridge to place another order of Sensates for the next cohort.  The 45 students in the second cohort will get an opportunity to receive Sensates in September.
