Hi Everyone!

Got some cool news for our Wefunder friends. We launched our Google Earth for VR flight app FLY - Explore the Earth on the Apple Vision Pro (AVP) last week, and it's going great right out of the gate!

A few sample reviews:

– Magnificent! What a fantastic app! Controls become very intuitive with a little practice and then you’re just enjoying the feeling of flying. “Google Earth inside the AVP” is my quick description but it doesn’t capture the amazing experience.
– Absolutely remarkable experience! Some of the most fun I’ve had in the AVP! More than worth the money! Bravo and thank you to the developer!
– This is my dream app on AVP.

They're loving it!

As for revenue, you'll be surprised. You'd think revenue will be much less on the APV store than on Meta Quest. That's certainly what we expected. After all, Meta has reportedly sold around 20 million Meta Quest headsets since early 2019. The AVP, on the other hand, at more than 10x the price has since launch this February reportedly sold a mere 200k units in the first 10 days with only another 200k or so more unit sales are expected this year. So let's call it 300k AVP today.

Based on raw reported unit sales there are 67x more Meta Quest headsets out there than there are AVP headsets. Cutting to the punch line, FLY revenue on AVP in the first 10 days is 3x higher than after the first 10 days on Quest.

Wait. What? Not a fraction of Quest sales but 293% higher?

Reason is there are thousands of apps and games on the Quest and only a few hundred polished apps on AVP. It's easy to get lost in the crowd on Quest but a quality app really stands out on AVP. Our FLY app stands out in particular -- it's an immersive app while most use AR features, and our patented control scheme is a natural fit for the AVP no-controllers design. It really shows off the power of Apple Spatial Computing.

The conversion rate of FLY store listing page views to paid downloads tells the story. On Quest it's around 1.5% and on AVP the rate is a mind blowing 31%! That means around 1 out of 100 Quest users who reach our listing page buy the app while nearly 1 in 3 on AVP do. Also we charge 30% more for FLY on the AVP. Put it all together and you have a formula for

A pleasant surprise indeed, and AVP isn't the last of it. We have plans to expand FLY further to the Samsung/Google XR platform coming later this year.
