Which version of YOU wins? 🤷 (The #1 thing I ask elite leaders…)

Today I want to chat about THE #1 question I ask ELITE coaches and leaders. 

Quick context…

This is email #10 out of lucky #13 as we dominate the Big Goals protocol and shake some money trees 😆 to see if we can throw a few more million bucks in the bank to most powerfully take the next steps in forging an antifragile biz so we can fulfill our mission.

Let’s get straight to work. 

As we’ve discussed, Michael and I have been blessed to spend more and more time with more and more elite leaders and their organizations. 

This has ranged from sports teams like the Chicago Bulls and Notre Dame football team to military officers within the United States Special Operations Command and Naval Special Warfare. 

This also includes big corporations that are integrating Heroic into the DNA of their cultures. 

Now…

Of course, when we spend time with the coaches and CEOs who run these organizations, we walk them through the 7 Objectives of our Heroic framework that integrates ancient wisdom, modern science and practical tools to help their teams move from theory to practice to mastery to activate their Heroic potential. 

We tell them about how to win the ultimate game, forge antifragile confidence, master themselves, dominate the fundamentals, and all that. 

We also show them how to get the most out of the app—giving them a quick walkthrough of the +1s, Philosopher’s Notes, Basic Training, and 101s and all that. 

Then we walk them through a series of exercises that help them get clarity on who they are at their ABSOLUTE best while getting clarity on what, SPECIFICALLY (!), they were DOING when they were at their all-time best. 

Then we take all of that and help them set up their Heroic Big 3 protocol in the app so they’re ready to dominate it. 

Note: That’s essentially EXACTLY what we teach our Heroic Workshop Instructors in that training as well!!

Now…

After we’ve done all that and shown them how to get their protocols set up in the app, we tell them about how the great ones NEVER (!) take the fundamentals for granted and that, if we want to win championships (or wars!) or hit business growth targets, we need to channel our inner John Wooden and make TODAY a masterpiece. 

Then we tell them about our Heroic Soul Force score and how, when you simply hit the top goals in your Energy, Work, and Love (that reflect you at your best!!) each day, your Soul Force goes from 80 to 81 to 82 to 83… all the way up to 101 after 21 days. 

Then it resets to 100 and you need to reactivate your Heroic potential EVERY DAY to hit that 101 target. 

Now…

The important thing to note here is that the Soul Force score of 101 reflects the consistency with which that individual (whether they’re the CEO or head coach or employee or player!) DOES THE THINGS THEY KNOW THEY DO WHEN THEY’RE AT THEIR ABSOLUTE BEST. 

All of which leads me to the #1 thing I ask these coaches and leaders. 

I ask them…

Which version of you will outperform the other?

The version of you that is at a Heroic Soul Force of 101–DOING THE THINGS YOU KNOW YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE AT YOUR BEST (!!!)…

Or…

The version of you that is NOT at a 101 and NOT consistently doing the things you know you do when you’re at your best (ESPECIALLY when you feel your worst btw!)?!

They all agree…

The answer isn’t debatable. 

OF COURSE the version of you doing what you know is best for you will ALWAYS (!!!) outperform the version of you that ISN’T. 

But only EVERY (if I cursed) @#$%&! time!!

Right?

Then I ask them…

If each individual at a 101 will outperform the version of themselves that ISN’T then…

Which version of your TEAM will win?

The version of your team on which EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL IS AT A 101 or the version of your team where every individual isn’t?

Again…

That’s not debatable. 

You might debate whether or not the Heroic app can actually help you get there, but there’s NO DOUBT that the version of your team that has EVERY individual CONSISTENTLY doing what they do when they are at their best will beat the version of your team that isn’t. 

But only…

EVERY. 

SINGLE. 

@#$%&!

TIME. 

Period. 

So…

My question for you is…

Which version of YOU is showing up to play the game of life?

(Seriously. Which version of YOU is showing up these days? The version of you forging excellence as you DOMINATE your Heroic protocol or the mediocre version of you kinda sorta going through the motions? 🤷)

If we’re serious about winning the ultimate game of life (and all the “championships” that come along)…

Then it’s time to move from theory to practice to mastery and actually DO the things we KNOW we do when we’re at our best. 

TODAY. 

That’s how great lives are created and championships are won. 

Day 1. All in.
