California opening for Community Solar changes EVERYTHING
Expanding community solar will be a key part of reaching California's goals to source 60% of its energy from renewable sources like solar and wind by 2030-- less than 10 years from now. More importantly, California's equitable community solar bill, AB 2316, will require 51% of each project's capacity to be reserved for low- and moderate-income subscribers. The bill recently passed the legislature and has received widespread support, and it is expected to be signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom. In addition to dramatically reducing air pollution and saving residents on energy costs, the number of community solar projects required to serve the most populous state and largest solar market in the U.S. will also provide local, well-paid jobs that offer a safer alternative to workers as the number of jobs supporting the fossil fuel industry dwindle. Neighborhood Sun has spent the past year perfecting our proprietary community solar software management platform, SunEngine, so we are perfectly positioned to meet the skyrocketing demand as California's community solar market opens up. There's only one day left to invest in the future of solar before Neighborhood Sun closes our community round tomorrow at 11 p.m. EST.
Invest to share in our success as we prepare our expansion West to the Sunshine state!
