Talino Venture Labs has officially joined the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) and will sit in its Board of Governors, represented by Talino CEO Winston Damarillo.

LAEDC was founded in 1981 as a public-benefit, private non-profit to "guide economic development and create more widely shared prosperity" in the Los Angeles County region.

On October 20 to 21, 2021, LAEDC will host the annual Select LA Investment Summit, which is touted as Southern California's Premier International Investment Event. It will be held at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium as a hat tip to this year's theme of sports and entertainment, and the opportunities arising from mega events. 

Talino CEO Winston Damarillo will speak in the afternoon plenary on October 21 about equity crowdfunding and micro loans as a way to bridge the capital gap for small businesses, giving them access to business opportunities at upcoming mega events in LA.
