It has been an exciting three months since we closed our seed round on Wefunder. Below is an update with highlights from the past 90 days.

We currently have three areas of focus: 1) growth, 2) technology and 3)funding.

Growth. We created a small peer community dedicated to growth and invited our existing network to apply. From these applicants we chose three communities to participate in the first cohort. The goal of this program is to test and prove growth strategies that can be replicated across the country.

We're also actively looking for potential licensees and/or staff to launch new Moxey communities. If you know anyone who would be a great fit, please have them get in touch with us.

Technology. We recruited and onboarded a top-notch CTO within the first 30 days. Since then we've been making rapid progress on a new community hub which will make it much easier to find companies that accept Moxey as well as make it easier for our existing participants to refer new members.

Funding. We're watching every penny, conserving cash, and preparing for our next raise. Thankfully, we regularly get contacted by potential new investors. Wahoo!

Network Wide Community Event

PartnersOne, the Baton Rouge based Moxey community, has graciously sponsored a network wide event and invited all Moxey members to attend. It's the final game for the Rougarou and they'll be playing the Cane Cutters from Acadiana on Friday July 30th. The game is an excellent opportunity for wholesome family fun, great food and all around silliness.

One of our core values is community. This outdoor event is a great way for our members to mix and mingle with each other.

Moxey 901 in Memphis

I drove north last week to attend the board meeting for Moxey 901, the local Moxey community in Memphis TN. I left more energized about the possibilities in Memphis than I thought possible.

The Memphis leadership is rallying together to support their executive director's strategy for growth and to improve their velocity and health of their community's currency. We spent a few hours enjoying a great meal (from an amazing member of course) and discussing ways to improve the experience in Memphis for everyone.

To me, the most memorable moment was small and could have been easily missed. I learned that a few months ago the board members decided that they would each pay for their own meal instead of letting the trade exchange pick up the tab and add additional debt to the organization and its members. This act of conscientious leadership is a great sign that big things are in store for Memphis.
