The K2 strategy

Happy Saturday!

By now you most probably know that we are mountain nuts (hopefully we will actually eventually open El Condor in a place like Lake Tahoe!)... So for sake of continuity throughout this update series, let's maintain that analogy to describe our strategy moving forward.

Basically the way we have just reconfigured the project (hence the campaign) corresponds to some sort of weather constraint on Mount Everest, which forces (but also enables) us to climb K2 instead... Still The Himalayas, still the detailed expedition for a top multifaceted peak and still the same summit ambition, maybe even via a face that has not been done yet! 

To summarize and reiterate, there are 3 main advantages to the new cafe space we have identified:

- Definitely its location itself, right in the middle of one of NYC's "marquee" neighborhoods;

- Its simple buildout to make it a splendid El Condor coffee shop, true to the concept;

- The kitchen exhaust in place, which means no limits as to delicious all-day food menu to complement coffee and other drinks.

With roasting in place as originally planned, we have the same initial conditions to launch the brand, if not better because of that special address!

And when it comes to planting the flag in other neighborhoods from the very beginning and demonstrating the concept's flexibility, we may very well be onto something that would be more newsworthy and noticeable than a co-working environment (as much as we like this kind of option for the future). Stay tuned...

If at all possible, the whole project might have just become even more exciting, knowing that we have a very serious chance to make it work, with a different approach that serves the best interest of everybody involved!

We particularly love the fact that, with a revised valuation (which makes sense since it is now about the second tallest mountain in the world "only..."), all participants automatically get a bigger share for their investments! And for us it feels like an even stronger grasp of the situation and extra confidence in term of execution.

We did not reach out to nor follow up with many people (meaning potential investors) this week, just because we wanted everything to be updated properly (deadline, terms, deck, etc.) so there was no confusion. But now we are back at it as early as tomorrow, with a big push within the next few days! 

Over 170 direct friends and connections are supposed to participate; it should be easier to finish convincing them now that we are almost two thirds of the way... We believe it is also going to catch the attention of much more people we do not know, whether within the platform's circle or others. 

Let's also remind Everyone that the next threshold to trigger additional, more targeted ad placements on social media by Wefunder is $200,000. We are only $28,200 behind as we post this update and could very well reach that number this coming week. Let's go then!

Finally, for those of You who invested before today, please do not forget to confirm your participations!... Wefunder sent a direct email about exactly that last night and most already have (thank you!), but another quick reminder cannot hurt :-)
