Backed by Notable Investors such as Sandy Munro, Aptera Continues Growth

SAN DIEGO – Feb. 18, 2021 – Aptera Motors announces it has closed its round of Series A funding, accepting a total of over $4 million. Aptera’s continued momentum has now garnered it over 7,000 vehicle reservations in just over two months totaling a quarter-billion in orders. The Solar Electric Vehicle (SEV) company is backed by crowdfunders, private investors and automotive leaders such as Sandy Munro of Munro & Associates, Inc.

“I’m betting on a solar future, and I’m betting on Aptera,” says the lean design expert. “The industry needs more creative engineering like this to progress ahead. I’m happy to be assisting Aptera as they move into production and beyond,” comments Munro.

Earlier this month, Aptera moved into a new production design facility in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego. Part of a 60,500 square foot campus, the facility will be home to Aptera’s three completed vehicles and a team of development engineers. Areas of focus will be advanced 3D printing, composites, UI/UX development, and battery technologies development. As the company expands, Aptera will be evaluating additional locations for production facilities in San Diego and around the world.

“We’re excited to have Sandy’s support as we move into the Beta Design design phase of our Solar Electric Vehicles production plan. His decades of automotive knowledge and genius analysis of other EV players is great validation that we’re on the right path,” responds Chris Anthony, Co-Founder of Aptera.

This is excellent. Also, when do we find out if our investment got accepted into Aptera’s latest round of funding? It has said my investment in Aptera is funded in my account since Janurary but it has not been marked as complete or incomplete yet. Any updates on this and how soon I would know if I got into the round or not?
I'm happy for Aptera but the team really dropped the ball on communicating with smaller investors which is the whole purpose of Wefunder. I and many others were told we would be notified when this round was opened. Instead we were only notified when it was closed. I've been in touch with the Aptera team over the past few weeks, they were aware that we wanted to invest and it would appear now that they were disingenuous when they said they wanted to include small investors like myself. I Feel burned by the Aptera team. I'm working as an Ambassador to spread the word about Aptera and I was shut out of the round.
What? I've had money queued up for participating in Aptera for months and feel like it went totally silent after January 1.
Thought we could invest into them via wefunder??
Was there a funding round recently? I wasn't notified.
Yeah I didn't get an alert either, kinda bummed I didn't invest. Oh well, I hope the car is successful regardless
Congratulations, Aptera! another step on the way. And David Elze, they haven't forgotten us smaller investors. Chris now says the next SAFE round will open in the March/April timeframe when Wefunder is ready.

Just read this earlier today in Forbes. Fantastic progress and great to have Sandy Munro as an advisor!
This is not fair :-(. Bruce Nelson, I was under the impression that they will announce this new rounding and retail can join... What happened?
Great News ! Lets Roll
