2021 NPSL Northwest Conference alignment announced

Portland, OR - The National Premier Soccer League has announced the region and conference alignments for 2021. PDX FC is joined in the northwest conference by regional foes; Crossfire (Redmond, WA), IPS (Portland, OR), OSA FC (Seattle, WA), Spokane Shadow (Spokane, WA), and Tacoma Stars (Tacoma, WA). Get to know the NW conference clubs below. 

Crossfire (Redmond, WA) - Crossfire is known for their excellent work in developing players within the state of Washington. The club recently saw Ethan Bartlow selected as the #6 overall pick in the 2021 MLS Superdraft. Other Crossfire alumni include Kelyn Rowe and DeAndre Yedlin, currently with Newcastle United in the English Premier League. Crossfire won the northwest division in the 2019 NPSL season. 

IPS (Portland, OR) - IPS, which stands for International Portland Select, has a long and storied history in the city of Portland. The 2021 season will be the club's 1st competing in the NPSL. The club is known for fielding a very competitive roster of talented players with impressive experience.

OSA FC (Seattle, WA) - OSA FC, owned by Italian businessman Guiseppe Pezzano, was founded in 2008. The club builds their roster with a talented blend of Italian imports, as well as top NCAA collegiate players. The 2021 MLS Superdraft saw three different players from OSA selected. 

Spokane Shadow (Spokane, WA) - Based in Spokane, WA, the club was founded in 1996 and first began playing in the USISL Premier League. Spokane won the 2018 NPSL northwest title, while finishing third place in 2019. 

Tacoma Stars (Tacoma, WA) - The Stars were founded in 1983 as a professional indoor soccer club. The team holds the record for the most fans to ever watch an indoor soccer match with 21,728 fans packing in to the Tacoma Dome to watch the 1986-87 MISL Championship. Currently, the Stars compete as a professional indoor team in the Major Arena Soccer League. 2021 will be their 1st year competing in the NPSL. The Stars 2020 roster featured experienced professional players such as Lamar Neagle (Seattle Sounders FC, DC United), Raphael Cox (Real Salt lake), and Micheal Ramos (Puerto Rican National Team).  

The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is one of the largest established men’s soccer leagues in the United States with over 90 teams competing across the country. The NPSL is a semi-professional league, comprising some teams that have paid players and some that are entirely amateur.
