One Week Away From Production!

Good morning. I hope you are all well and staying safe out there. I want to update you that we are officially one week away from the start of production. Our first day, October 12th, begins next Monday at Davies Manor near Memphis, Tennessee.

Producer Damon Burks and I scouted the property again this past week, preparing for the set dressing we need to do for these scenes. It's a great place with several historical buildings that we plan to make good use of.

A few members of our crew will be traveling from Austin, Texas this coming Friday to get here (Brookhaven, Mississippi, where I am based) for a couple days of prep before we head North for filming. I am excited to dig into the script in person with Mario Mattei (Director of Photography) and to start to familiarize myself with the other crew members.

On week two of production, we will return to Mississippi and film along the actual Natchez Trace at a specific trailhead. Our team is working now to confirm final details with the authorities, including the use of horses on this trail. After that, our production moves once again to Louisiana where we will spend two weeks in Franklinton, filming at the Mile Branch Settlement historical site and other great locations in the area.

With every passing day, we are casting more actors and finalizing more details for the coming shoot. I appreciate your commitment to this project and I will return soon with another update on our film.
