From late September - November the PDX FC staff led a training calendar for returning and potential new players. The sessions proved to be very fruitful as we were able to keep our returning players fit, while also identifying new players to join our 2021 NPSL roster.

“The sessions were high intensity with players challenging each other to improve. It was great to be on the field and provide training for such a quality pool of players. These fall sessions will pay dividends as we work to build our team for the 2021 season”, said PDX FC Technical Director, Luke Babson.

Babson worked alongside associate head coach, Sonimi Halliday, while also adding former Portland Timber and Gambian national team player, Mamadou “Futty” Danso to the coaching staff for the fall sessions.

The talent on hand was abundant with a number of seasoned players bringing experience from their respective national teams of Cuba, Rwanda, Gambia U17, USA U17, and El Salvador.

Next up for the club will be the first round of tryouts for the 2021 season, taking place in early January. The club seeks to build a roster of players ready to challenge for the 2021 NPSL NW conference title.
