"Stars Aligning for #FreedomFightersFilm?"

 #InspireStudios1 proudly announces that the screenplay of #FreedomFightersFilm, our history-in-the-making, FIRST Hollywood-Philippines global motion picture has met ALL 4 of the just announced “representation and inclusion” mandatory qualifying “Standards” of eligibility for the Best Picture category for Oscars. Only 2 of the 4 Standards are required to be met, so we will have no problem qualifying, in this regard, for this Best Picture category. Here is the breakdown of the 4 Standards and our qualifying elements: 

To achieve Standard A, the film must meet ONE of the following criteria: A1. At least one of the lead actors or significant supporting actors is from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group. 

#FreedomFightersFilm Eligibility: Asian “Significant Supporting actors” will be played by Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Cesar Montano. 

A2. At least 30% of all actors in secondary and more minor roles are from at least two of the following underrepresented groups.

#FreedomFightersFilm Eligibility: The primary lead actor is a female role, Filipino women will play a significant amount of secondary and minor roles. 

A3. The main storyline(s), theme or narrative of the film is centered on an underrepresented group: Women, Racial or ethnic group, LGBTQ+, People with cognitive or physical disabilities, or who are deaf or hard of hearing. 

#FreedomFightersFilm Eligibility: the main storyline, based on actual events, centers around a female underground nurse turned resistance fighter and the theme is inspired by and focuses on the bravery and heroism of Filipino WWII Guerrillas. 

To achieve Standard B, the film must meet ONE of the criteria below: B1. At least two of the following creative leadership positions and department heads—Director, Editor, Producer, Production Designer, Writer—are from underrepresented groups. At least one of those positions must belong to underrepresented racial or ethnic group. 

#FreedomFightersFilm Eligibility: the film is being produced by Filipino-American Francis Lara Ho, based upon a screenplay by Mary Krell-Oishi (Half Mexican & Chilean). 

(Mary began her own writing career at 7 years old. She has written four books of short one acts for young actors, several full length, produced plays and three produced, award winning short films. Her screenplay THE ART OF SILENCE was selected as one of the top 50 of 7500 writers for the Nichols Fellowship, and won the Gold Medal for the International Page Awards.) Photo attached.

#FreedomFightersFilm has also met the Standards C & D of eligibility for the Oscars Best Picture category. 

While meeting ALL the eligibility requirements does not guarantee #FreedomFightersFilm to win the Oscars, we are UNSTOPPABLE in achieving this #CompellingVision! We are working passionately yet tirelessly towards that goal!
