Back in LA, next steps planned

Finally able to fly to LA with an NIE (national interest exception), participating in meetings and talking to our US team members in person- which is quite different than to do video conferencing. Arriving at LAX is so strange, almost no traffic at all.

Good meetings here, the possibility of a  cooperation with a well-known electric vehicle start-up in terms of using parts from them for the CF1 looks promising. We agreed to exchange basic specs first to check compatibility.

And we had a meeting with the design team to discuss the new cabin details. So exciting!

Flying back to Europe this weekend. An interview is scheduled for Sunday to hire a new team member with outstanding experience in lightweight chassis development. He did work on a car project which raised a lot of publicity at the last CES.

Next Wednesday we'll have a meeting with a leading supplier of air-suspension technology and we are looking forward to forming a key partnership. Another important segment to be covered is telematics and OTA (over-the-air) update capabilities. In the long-term, we want it Tesla-like and since we do not have hundreds of millions of dollars yet in the bank, we need to work with customizable third party solutions and we believe that we are on a good path now.

Did some testing in LA with a  PROMASTER  van.  Our partner has converted it into electric. This allows us to perform realistic tests like the uphill stop-start. Impressive performance. We need to make sure that our CF1 will work in cities with extreme hills, like San Francisco.

There is a recent Reuters article on the increasing demand for electric trucks- but short supply. We will surely provide one great solution to that demand. Unfortunately, we did not get mentioned in the article. But quite sure that this will change soon.
