Hi Everyone-

I hope everyone is well and staying safe. We have just several weeks left in our raise unless we extend, and we really want to push to close and get this film out into the world. We’re already over 50% raised which is incredible. If we can raise the first and more difficult half, I know we can raise the second half.

For those that don’t know, The Astrid Experience trailer already has 190,000 plays and the film isn’t even out yet! This is really incredible for an independent film of our size. The comments keep coming in and are very favorable. People are excited about TAE!

In light of where we are now, I want to share a few cool stories that have happened to our lead cast members recently across the globe. I share these not for vanity purposes, but to simply support and prove that people around the world are eagerly awaiting the release of this film.

First, last week, Lucia Xypteras who plays Astrid in the film, sent me a text and told me that a complete stranger stopped her in South Africa (her home country) and asked her when the film was coming out. The girl said she saw the trailer online and couldn’t wait to see it. This happened in South Africa! Additionally, Lucia has told me that many more people have been writing her and asking her when the film will come out on a weekly basis. To say the least, Lucia is very excited about the film coming out as well… it’s never been more clear that she is a star on the rise.

Second, just last night I was at a supermarket in my home state of Oregon. A girl who had seen the trailer stopped me and said ‘Hey, you’re the guy from The Astrid Experience’ . When I asked her how she saw the trailer, she said it was recommended by Youtube while she was watching other trailers. How cool is that?! Youtube is even recommending our trailer now alongside other successful films in our genre. The trailer is beginning to hit exponential growth — this is fantastic for the production.

All that said, we have a global audience for The Astrid Experience that is growing by the day. When all is said and done, the total budget for TAE will only be roughly $130,000 with all deferral’s included. This is an incredible price point for a project of this caliber. I know many films — including scripts I’ve sold — that had budgets over $1,000,000, that still have yet to break even. However, if they were made for under $200,000 they would have been profitable several times over already. That’s how important properly budgeted films and filmmaking techniques come into play in the independent world.

Our price point for our film is spot on. We have an immensely talented cast with a growing fan base, we have and exciting story, and we an incredible soundtrack Produced by John That, Moss Dub, and Academy that I know will make our film soar above the pack.

If there was ever an independent film that had all the ingredients at its price point to be a profitable venture for all involved, it’s The Astrid Experience. I stand by that.

The time to invest is now. Help us finishing bringing this story to the screen, and let’s all share in the success and joy together in the hope of a bright future.
