Wind Harvest’s new report has found that 20% of wind farms have “good to excellent” near-ground wind resources. This represents 130GWs of wind farms worldwide as of 2019, with the potential to double over the next decade.

According to President and co-founder Kevin Wolf - “The focus on ever taller and larger propeller-type turbines is one of the reasons the wind industry isn’t utilizing its excellent near ground resources.
