Wind Harvest Report Shows 20% of Wind Farms Have Good to Excellent Near-Ground Wind Resources
Wind Harvest’s new report has found that 20% of wind farms have “good to excellent” near-ground wind resources. This represents 130GWs of wind farms worldwide as of 2019, with the potential to double over the next decade.
According to President and co-founder Kevin Wolf - “The focus on ever taller and larger propeller-type turbines is one of the reasons the wind industry isn’t utilizing its excellent near ground resources. The report’s data underlies our prediction that our new Wind Harvester turbines will trigger a gold rush into and a rapid buildout of the huge near-ground market, and just in time to help reverse global warming.”
