Wifigen Customers Know Their Customers

On Friday, I boarded a ship. Part of the boarding process was the issuance of a scanable ID card. You can’t get on the ship with out it. When we get to the next destination and go ashore, each passenger must have their card scanned. When it is time to embark to the next destination, the ship knows exactly who is on the ship. If someone has not been scanned back in, the crew makes every effort to find them before leaving the harbor. The ship knows exactly who is on board. Compare this scenario with a deli or coffee shop or hotel. The proprietor has no idea who is in the building. They have no way to communicate with and thank those who are regulars or those who have not been there for a month. Wifigen changes that. Wifigen puts the proprietor in touch with all their customers, loyal ones and those not so loyal. It provides the tools to enable communications with both. “Thanks for your loyalty. Have a free cup of coffee on us.” “Great to see you back again. Have a free cup of coffee on us.” Each person who enters the premise is offered free Wi-Fi. In return, they provide their email address or social media login. They are happy to do this because they value the free Wi-Fi. It is also a win for Wifigen and its investors.
