Kyler Murray had a second preseason game to forget as the Arizona Cardinals lost 33-26 at home to the Oakland Raiders.

The number one overall pick of the 2019 draft went three-for-eight for just 12 yards, adding a four-yard rush. The former Oklahoma signal-caller was twice flagged for false starts and went down in the end of zone in a bid to avoid getting sacked for a safety.

However, Cardinals first-year coach Kliff Kingsbury insisted the rookie quarterback had shown encouraging signs.

"I thought he made really good decisions," he told NFL.com. "I thought under some adversity, penalties backed us up, in long-yardage situations, I thought he made good decisions the whole night. We just hurt ourselves with those penalties and couldn't get things really rolling."

Next up for the Cardinals and Murray is a trip to Minneapolis to face a Vikings team that beat the Seattle Seahawks 25-19.

The Vikings have won both their games so far and there are signs new offense coordinator Kevin Stefanski and offensive adviser Gary Kubiak are beginning to get their message across.

Minnesota had 409 total yards against the Seahawks and rookie tight end Irvin Smith Jr. felt the Vikings are learning to maximize the offensive options at their disposal.

"We have so many different weapons, and coach Stefanski and coach Kubiak, they want to get us all in involved," the second-round draft pick from Alabama was quoted as saying by ESPN.

"So they did a great job of that."

The Vikings' offense will have another opportunity to shine when it faces a Cardinals defense that conceded 33 points last week.
