The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in rough shape as they’ve lost 11 of their last 14 games and they will be hoping to put a halt to a six-game skid after falling to the Suns in a 122-113 road loss on Monday. Collin Sexton led the team in scoring with 21 points on nine of 23 shooting, Jordan Clarkson added 20 points off the bench while Tristan Thompson and Ante Zizic each scored 15 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 45 percent from the field and eight of 22 from the 3-point line, but they were slow out of the gates and got burned by the Suns who outscored them by 71-52 in the first half to put the game out of reach early. With the loss, Cleveland fell to 19-59 overall and 6-33 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting trounced by the Rockets in a 130-105 home loss on Tuesday. Buddy Hield led the team in scoring with 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Marvin Bagley III added 19 points off the bench while Nemanja Bjelica chipped in with 12 points on six of seven shooting. As a team, the Kings shot 44 percent from the field and seven of 23 from the 3-point line, but the Kings were outmatched from the start and never threatened after falling behind by 16 points going into halfitime. With the loss, Sacramento fell to 38-40 on the season and 23-16 at home.

Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss, 1-4-1 ATS in their last six road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Kings are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a double-digit loss at home, 19-9 ATS in their last 28 games against a team with a losing record and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings, the road team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and the Cavaliers are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings.

These two teams have only met once so far this season and it was the Kings who cruised to a 129-110 win back on Dec 7. The Cavaliers have the ability to push even some of the best teams in the league, but it’s hard to be too confident about a team coming into this one fresh off a loss to the Suns for their sixth straight defeat. The Kings have cooled off lately, but they are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and I think that trend continues as they take advantage of the road-weary Cavaliers.
