Now, let's dive into the deck!

Allow us to introduce ourselves! We're Courtney and Daniel Peebles, a neurodivergent wife-and-husband team, and we founded Solobo Toys at the end of 2022. We're also the parents of two incredible children who inspire everything at Solobo.

Before we get too far into all the details of our business, we'd love to share that Solobo Toys is both a woman-owned company and a Certified Disability Owned Business Enterprise through Disability:IN.

This means that when you choose to invest in Solobo, you’re not only supporting our mission of inclusive education, but you're also promoting economic inclusivity for entrepreneurs with disabilities.

We noticed a large gap within the toy industry not long after having children. Our oldest son was always ahead of "typical" developmental milestones, leaving him with limited educational toy options that were safe for children under 3.

Meanwhile, our youngest son faced complex medical needs that delayed his development and limited his toy options, too. Realizing the lack of suitable toys for both of our children, we knew we had to do something.

Solobo products are thoughtfully designed to offer exceptional learning opportunities while staying versatile, adaptable, and open-ended. Each toy is built to grow with a child, evolving alongside their development and supporting new skills at every stage.

With a bachelor's degree in Digital Media & Design, a Master's in Film Producing, and years of professional design experience, Courtney knew she could easily apply those skills to toy design. She designed the first two toys, the Emotions Coin Drop and the Learn & Drop, and then started reaching out to factories to get samples produced.

Emotions Coin Drop was the first toy on the market designed to teach children as young as 12 months old about emotions. Courtney came up with the idea after a particularly challenging doctor’s appointment with our youngest son. We wanted a way to have conversations about emotions that weren’t awkward since we didn’t grow up talking about them with our parents.

For our family, it felt crucial to start conversations about emotions early, recognizing the stress and trauma that frequent doctor/hospital visits can bring. Little did we know that thousands of other parents felt the same sense of importance in teaching their children about emotions.

After receiving factory samples, we created a pitch and shared it with our family members. Our family members came together and gave what they could. The $13,000 was enough to place our first order of both toys. We don't come from wealth, but we took a leap with what we had been given!

While the toys were in production, we launched our first Kickstarter and fully funded it in 24 hours. 45 people helped us meet our goal (those people came back a year later to fund our second Kickstarter!)

Both of our toys first hit the market in March 2023. By July we were shocked to learn that Forbes had named our Emotions Coin Drop as one of the Best Educational Toys for Toddlers and Preschoolers.

Later, in 2023, we introduced Spanish Flashcards, Puzzles, and Courtney's children's book All The Ways Sterling Communicates, a book about Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

🫶🏼 We began regularly sharing our journey and building an incredible community of supporters and customers.

By the end of 2023, we made $48,000 in sales!

In 2024, we grew in every area of our business. We 4x our revenue to $208,000 on a razor-thin marketing budget. We had a second fully funded Kickstarter. We grew our product line to 40+ products mixed with 3D-printed products, digital products, and products produced overseas with our production partners.

We're proud to say that many of our products are award winners! A great example is our toy Emotional Baggage™ -- it was awarded Best Toy 2024 by Parents and is a TOTY Finalist! The TOTY Awards are known as the "Oscars of the Toy Industry."

We’re honored to have an ongoing partnership with the non-profit for teachers, DonorsChoose. Through this partnership, our products are included on the DonorsChoose’s Featured Favorites list, allowing teachers to add our products to their classroom wishlists. From there, Donors can contribute directly to the classroom projects, supporting educators and enriching students’ learning experiences.

Today, you'll find our toys in schools, therapy centers, homes, hospitals, and children's museums.

You can buy our products on our website, Amazon (US and Canada), Walmart, and brick-and-mortar specialty toy stores. (You might be seeing us in a mass retail store by the end of 2025. 👀)

We are signed with three toy-specific sales rep groups that cover territories nationwide.

Then there's Solobo-On-The-Go....we'll explain more below.

Now, we want to introduce you to our range of Award-Winning Products 🥇

When Courtney designs a new toy, she works with a team of pediatric experts to ensure we look at all the child's developmental possibilities for the toy.

At Solobo Toys, quality, safety, and sustainability are at the heart of creating our products.

Whether it’s through advanced in-house 3D printing, partnerships with trusted overseas production partners, or flexible made-to-order processes, each production process is designed to deliver durable, high-quality products at reasonable prices.

Our wooden toys, plush toys, and puzzles are designed in-house and produced by our overseas production partners.

🪵 Our wooden toys are made from FSC-certified wood, ensuring that they meet the highest standards for sustainable and ethical forestry, which helps build a better future for our planet.

We launched our first 3D-printed product in September 2024, and it took off from there. By the end of 2024, we had expanded our print capacity from one printer to five. All of our 3D-printed products are printed by us right here in the United States. 🇺🇸

⭐️ 3D printing allows us to create new designs without high upfront costs, adapt to our customer's diverse needs, and reduce waste by using only the required materials. Our eco-friendly process uses plant-based, biodegradable materials made from renewable resources like cornstarch or sugarcane—safe for play, gentle on the planet, and perfect for creating high-quality toys.

Our current lineup of five 3D printers

We’ve organically built an incredible community of supporters and customers by being authentic, sharing our story, advocating for neurodiversity, and prioritizing inclusivity in every way possible.

While our educational products are designed for all children, many of our customers are neurodivergent, have neurodivergent children, or work with neurodivergent communities, such as therapists and social workers.

They all share the same challenge: finding toys that work for their child.

❤️ Our quickly growing community is proof of the gap in the toy industry—one that we’re proud to have filled.

But don’t just take our word for it—below are some reviews from our customers. 🥰

Plus, our return rate speaks for itself-- We have a 1.73% lifetime product return rate compared to a 17.6% industry average return rate.

Giving back is at the core of our mission at Solobo 🫂

We are passionate about giving back and making a meaningful difference in the world. One of our first donations was an AAC board for a park in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The board allows children with communication differences to interact with parents, caregivers, and peers while they play.

In 2024, our donation contributions primarily consisted of product donations. As we continue to grow, we are excited to expand our charitable support and contribute to more impactful initiatives that will positively affect the neurodivergent community. ∞

Our core team is made up of Courtney, Daniel, and two part-time subcontractors.

For product design, Courtney collaborates with an exceptional team of pediatric experts to ensure our products are developmentally beneficial.

With everything we’ve achieved so far, we’re confident in bringing Solobo’s future plans to life—creating innovative, inclusive, and sustainable products that continue to inspire learning and play for years to come.

In 2025, we're beyond excited to introduce Solobo-On-The-Go!

🏆 We're merging two strong industries—the $108.7 billion global toy industry and the $19.8 billion global vending machine industry—into one innovative opportunity.

👀 Our first mini Solobo-On-The-Go machine is currently being filled and prepped to be placed in a children's playspace in New York! The first machine will have 3D-printed fidgets, stickers, and fun temporary tattoos.

Our mid-size and large vending machines deliver our products directly to people when they need them most. The placement possibilities are virtually limitless, from airports and malls to hospitals and schools.

Our youngest son has cerebral palsy, and we spend more time in doctor's offices and hospitals than most families. Our idea for the mental health machines comes from the many times we've said to each other, "Let's see if they have a vending machine." 🤔

A vending machine is a regular go-to for us when visits are long or when we're traveling somewhere. The main difference with our machines is that we're not providing food or drinks; we're providing plush stress balls, sensory tools, fidgets, and other products that support an individual's mental health. ☺️ Which is highly beneficial in stressful environments like hospitals or airports.

📈 We've grown our revenue 4x with a razor-thin marketing budget.

Once we've raised capital, we will put some of it into marketing, advertising, and tradeshows, allowing us to get our brand in front of more people.

We have big plans for the future! With your investment, we can make it all a reality!

1️⃣ Inclusive Educational Curriculums: Our inclusive educational curriculums will be designed to meet the needs of children of all abilities. Whether supporting advanced learners, accommodating developmental delays, or adapting to various learning styles, they will help every child thrive. They will cater to both homeschool families and public school classrooms, offering flexibility and accessibility for diverse educational settings.

2️⃣ Ed-Tech Toys: We're committed to staying adaptable and forward-thinking in today’s rapidly evolving, technology-driven world. Courtney is nearing the completion of her Master’s in Education: Instructional Design & Technology, equipping us with the tools to thoughtfully integrate technology into future products. We aim to bridge the technology gap and ensure all children have the skills they need to thrive in a digital future.

3️⃣ Edu-TV: Our animated educational series will be carefully crafted to make learning engaging and enjoyable for children. Each episode will explore meaningful topics, combining inclusivity with impactful storytelling to create a rich learning experience. Edu-TV will offer parents, teachers, and caregivers a meaningful option for screen time that both educates and entertains.

Diversifying our revenue streams provides a stable foundation for growth and minimizes seasonal sales fluctuations common in the toy industry. Our projections indicate steady growth across all channels, ensuring consistent year-round revenue.

We're ready to carry out these plans, and we'd love for you to invest and come along this journey with us! It'll be worth it! Are you in?
