By using real fruit shrubs and cocktail bitters, Shimmer Seltzer provides an experience to enjoying a cocktail without the inebriation. These are ingredients that high end bartenders use to make elegant cocktails and now Shimmerwood brings that experience to every can of Shimmer Seltzer.

Our mission is simple; sustainability, creativity, and community. Sustainability is evident in our naturally renewable glacial water source and production processes. Creativity is in every aspect of our seltzer; in harnessing the power of local craft suppliers and in creating and inspiring mixology creations at home and in bars and restaurants. Our community outreach is nonstop, attending, supporting, and enlivening local events, farmers markets, and educational seminars.

With Shimmer Seltzer, the flavor is at the forefront. Built like a cocktail, Shimmer Seltzer is a first of its kind CBD mocktail. From our use of natural Maine water, our hemp source, to our shrub and bitter partners, everything that goes into the mix is thoughtfully crafted. All of our ingredients are locally sourcedfrom Maine, and we work closely with our partners to ensure the highest quality and most sustainable practices throughout our entire supply chain.

The Hemp of it All

Every batch of hemp that goes into Shimmer Seltzer is unique, thanks to our utilization of a full spectrum extract. Think of a full spectrum extract as enjoying a cup of coffee, you get the benefits of caffeine along with all the other naturally present flavors. Whereas an isolate extract would be like taking a caffeine pill, you get your caffeine but miss out on all the other properties and flavors from the coffee beans.

Target Market: Customer Fit

Shimmer Seltzer is able to appeal to a wide market base, ranging from under 35 to 55 and up. To a younger Gen Z and Millennial demographic, customers use Shimmerwood as a nonalcoholic alternative. Meanwhile, Shimmerwood appeals to the Gen X and Boomer generations because of the purported functional benefits of Shimmer Seltzer. While Shimmerwood makes no health claims, customers have provided anecdotal reviews that just one can of Shimmer Seltzer helped relieve joint pain, inflammation and more.

The age of grabbing an alcoholic drink at the social gathering to not feel like a pariah is over. The nonalcoholic alternative and CBD beverage markets are growing daily, with each industry expecting to be $450 billion and $2.5 billion markets respectively.

Future Investment Opportunities

Co-founder, Josh Ahadian, is in a unique position of having previously worked within the music industry and is able to tap into his network within the live entertainment space. Shimmerwood and The Bowery Presents have created a first of its kind sponsor and partnership campaign that will bring CBD beverages to music venues. This partnership will effectively increase distribution sales to dozens of locations and jumpstart new territory expansion.

Recent updated guidelines from the NBA presents the opportunity for Shimmerwood to be promoted, sponsored and invested through pro athletes. Along with gaining massive exposure through professional NBA athletes, Shimmerwood has been approached by multiple professional teams to sponsor and carry Shimmer Seltzer within their arenas. These are multi-year campaigns in high traffic CBD markets, like Florida and Washington state. These deals would also be industry firsts and build upon national expansion and distribution.

The Bowery Presents Sponsorship

An investment of $15,000 gives Shimmerwood annual category exclusivity per venue. The first venue are targeting is The State Theatre in Portland, ME. With an average of 145,000 annual visitors and a projection of 5% purchasing Shimmerwood, we expect a ROI of $20,000. This venue will act as a proof of concept for our expansion into the New York market and expand this sponsorship in Music Hall of Williamsburg (100,000 annual attendees), Terminal 5 (300,000 annual attendees), Brooklyn Steel (325,000 annual attendees), Webster Hall (235,000 annual attendees), and Racket (100,000 annual attendees). Basing annual revenue off of 5% sales in these venues, we are projecting $144,000 in the first year.

Professional Sports Partnership

Florida represents the second largest CBD market, making a partnership with The Orlando Magic a strategic objective for brand expansion. “Magic fans are 83% more likely to purchase a CBD product in the next 12 months compared to the national population.” As reported by YouGov Data, September 2023. An annual investment of $245,000 with a 3% escalator for 3 years would allow us to enter the Florida market, establish new distribution, create national exposure for Shimmerwood and see a potential ROI of $236,000 in the first year solely through arena sales based off of a 5% of 1.75M annual visitors purchasing Shimmerwood.
