The feature itself is set to shoot this summer in upstate NY, and the location has already been secured; it’s an actual decommissioned "teen rehab facility", waiting to be brought to life again, with Director Robert Rosenbaum at the helm. A throwback to classic 80’s horror, there will be plenty of beloved cliches turned on their head, and lots of gore, and of course, a surprise ending. This is destined to become a beloved favorite set on late night re-play; but it needs to be created first!

Confined to an outdated rehab facility, the teen residents must confront aggressive peers, cope with abusive doctors and nurses while struggling with their own teen angst. And then there is the legendary "Nurse Hatchet". It's SCREAM meets One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (with a bit of The Breakfast Club.)
The horrors of teen rehab centers are real, and every young adult knows someone from their high school that lived the horror, if they haven't themselves. Delivered with a chilling backstory, PSYCH WARD delivers a story so close to home they won't be able to shut their eyes!
The action takes place primarily in a single location. We have secured a decomissioned rehab facility located in Delaware county, owned by the State of New York. We will have full use of the facility while we are filming, adding great value to our budget. The location reinforces not only the residents feeling of being trapped, but also the disparity of the situation they all find themselves in. And let’s not forget the creepy factor.
