Investment terms say, "Future Equity." Yet, risk disclaimer #2 says "These securities are not equity interests. Please help me understand how my investment changes in value?

Hi Michael. This is because the form of investment offered by WeFunder is a SAFE note. A SAFE note is for future equity ownership (after we have a priced round that "triggers" your SAFE note to convert to equity. We are planning that event next year. So, that's why it's not called equity. I hope this helps!

Will the value of my investment change in proportion to the change in valuation cap? As an example, if the company valuation at some point in the future changes from 9M to 18M, will the value of your investors assets also have doubled?

Yes and no. If there are no investors after this round which you would be a part of ($273,613) then yes. So, if you owned 1% upon conversion, whether it's $9M or $18M, you'd still own 1%. But, to get from $9M to $18M will require a significant round where everyone will be diluted by 20% for $2M (our plan). 0.8% of an $18M is a higher valuation than 1% of $9M.
