WE ARE ADDICTED TO OUR PHONE!  Our story begins in 2016 when our Founders, Mike and Tom Maguire, lost a 25 year old employee in a suspected Smartphone distracted driving accident. The accident occurred on a sunny day and an open road with no one else around. This loss had a deep impact on them so much that they started Live Undistracted with the Mission to Wipe Out Smartphone Distracted Driving.

As Tom and Mike dug into the numbers, they couldn’t believe the number of deaths and injuries being caused by Smartphone distractions. People were reading texts, checking on email, looking at apps all WHILE DRIVING!!!  Let's be honest, have you never been tempted to look at a text or email while driving? When your Smartphone "dings", don't we all have that Pavlovian Response to look at it. You think it maybe something really important but 100% of the time it is not. It certainly is NEVER more important than your or someone else’s life.

Mike and Tom realized that they needed help with the technology for a scalable, effective solution. Enter Steve Owens - our experienced CTO and the last founder - to help create a solution that would actually solve the problem. Their first design, like many first product designs, worked but was too expensive. So, after many tests and trials – they created the PhoneSafe App. PhoneSafeTM leverages our patented technology to leverage existing or installed Bluetooth signals to simply and reliably blank the screen when driving. THE GREAT NEWS IS THAT OUR REQUIRED BLUETOOTH SIGNAL IS ALREADY IN MORE THAN 30,000,000 COMMERCIAL TRUCKS AND CAN BE EASILY ACCESSED. We also offer an inexpensive dongle if necessary – that is plug & play with our solution and opens up a massive market of small commercial fleets & teen drivers.

Commercial trucking companies have the most to lose financially when accidents occur which is why we are targeting them first. Wrongful death lawsuit settlements average $7,500,000. ONE ACCIDENT CAN BANKRUPT A SMALL TRUCKING FIRM. And the death of a teen driver or any driver for that matter is devastating for a family.

The math to size the market is pretty straight forward. For just the two market segments we are targeting initially it is: $2/month for the app X 12 months X (30M Telematics Trucks + 20M Teens Drivers) = $1.2 Billion. This does not include dongle revenue and the fact that this can be used in all vehicles. This only includes the US market.

So, What Makes Us Unique? There are over 15 free apps available including the iPhone Driving Focus app and we have tested them all. NONE prevent you from accessing your Smartphone without consequences and none actually prevent distracted driving. They are all strictly voluntary, allow the user to configure and allow various apps to be interacted with while driving. They do not have a reporting function whereby a report goes to the parent or trucking fleet safety manager when the app is disabled. Lastly, none can be easily integrated into commercial vehicle telematics systems. PhoneSafeTM does all of that and more. It also works for both iPhone and Android smartphones. All for less than $2 per month. Cheap insurance for peace of mind and financial security.

Our Business Model is a simple Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Our strategy is to leverage Telematics Companies that already have the hardware dongle and customer base in place to integrate and sell our PhoneSafeTM solution to the commercial trucking market. As funding becomes available, we will develop our own dongle to address the Teen Driving and General Market.

There are 500,000 school buses, 500,000 forklift trucks, and over 500,000 backhoes, tractors, cranes, dump trucks, and other off road equipment in the US and they all have the needed ODBII port to use our PhoneSafeTM. Plus, we have other innovative product ideas using this technology!

Our Management Team is second to none with the right mix of early stage and big company executive management experiences monetizing over $250,000,000 for investors during their careers. Jim, our CEO, was most recently was an executive at Sensus and was part of a turn around team that got the company sold for $1.7 Billion in 2 ½ years. We didn’t count that in the monetizing number……😊

So, what are we going to do with the money you give us and what can we achieve with it?

The $250,000 is a seed round and will allow us to make the necessary improvements to the iPhone and Android PhoneSafeTM Apps. It will also allow us to build out our cloud infrastructure to delivery, monitor, and bill for our services and it will provide us funding for initial market launch. Our goals are to secure 2-3 telematics partners, add 5-10 significant customers and start to save lives!
