Hi John, these are all great questions; 1) long term we plan to use a recuperated turbine, see for example what the guys at Turbotech (https://www.turbotech-aero.com/solutions) do, or a high pressure ratio turbine like the CT7 from GE for larger systems; that means it will be almost as efficient as a piston engine (such as the Otto Celera's) BUT about 60% of an equivalent piston engine's weight (on power basis), and 5x the life.
