Every day, new people discover Waters Edge Wineries — some as guests enjoying great food, wine, and atmosphere at one of our locations, and others as entrepreneurs excited about opening their own winery in their community.

What captures nearly everyone’s attention is how different we are from traditional wineries. We’ve spent nearly two decades perfecting a model that lets us make world-class wine anywhere — without owning a single vineyard. Here’s how we do it.

1. A Global Winemaking Network

We partner with a global supply chain company that works directly with vineyard owners across the world’s top wine regions. They contract for premium grapes — Sangiovese from Italy, Merlot from France, Cabernet Sauvignon from California, and more.

Those grapes are crushed at the vineyard and the juice is stabilized using a process called thermovinification — a modern winemaking technique that enhances flavor and quality. The juice is then shipped to our local Waters Edge Wineries, where it goes through our four-stage winemaking process.

Reds are aged appropriately, whites are crisp and fresh, and each wine is bottled and sold on-site. Guests get authentic, globally sourced wines, made locally by their community’s own winemaker.

2. World-Class Winery Partnerships

We also partner with select wineries around the world — from California to Italy, Spain, and even Armenia. These expert winemakers craft wines for us in their home regions, then ship them to our local wineries before bottling.

Each location finishes the wine, bottles it, and sells it right there — giving guests a truly global wine experience. This network allows us to leverage some of the best winemakers in the world while keeping our business model efficient and asset-light.

3. Specialized Sparkling Wines

Our sparkling wines are produced in Napa Valley by one of our trusted partners who has the specialized equipment needed for that process. It’s more efficient for them to produce it there — but every bottle still carries the Waters Edge Wineries name and quality.
