When Benjamin told me about FareMarket’s Wefunder campaign I was excited to contribute, knowing that with proper funding, FareMarket will be able to build on its success and grow its impact. Many people, myself included, want local, quality products but don’t have the time to source every ingredient this way. FareMarket creates and sustains relationships with farmers and producers across the state who benefit from the support of a consistent buyer. Then FareMarket makes it easy to obtain those local goods by delivering them to your door, whether you’re an individual or a business. This funding round, once met, will make it even easier for FareMarket to deliver local goods to more people, including those without much access to fresh, healthy food. It’s great to know that access to nourishment will be increased to include those in our city’s food deserts – that’s unique, especially from a profit driven company. I’ve been a customer since FareMarket began, and I’m grateful to be able to invest in a company that embodies my values. I hope you’ll join this effort to bring more local food to more people by investing in FareMarket’s Wefunder campaign.

Our Founder

The demand for local food is growing faster than the demand for organic food. We saw an opportunity to help local farmers. We're also a social enterprise, so by firmly establishing FareMarket in the local food market, we create avenues for new food products and offer support to new and beginning farmers in our food deserts.
