Is the SAFE valuation different from that of the convertible note?

Accepted Answer

It is different in that it is not considered 'debt' whereas a convertible note is more similar to a loan on the company's books. In this SAFE note the investment is converted to equity during a future priced round (such as a Series A or Seed round). A convertible note would also be convertible to equity in such a round.

I am very interested but I am curious of something........... what is the valuation per share? How many shares would be purchased with a minimum investment?

Hi Bruce, we're doing what's called a SAFE note which is a bit different than what most of us are used to when it comes investments.
