Our Team

The future of work is constantly innovating and the pandemic uncovered some ugly truths. As burnout and employee dissatisfaction continue to weigh down industries, we believe leveraging the power of play can help teams and leaders thrive.

Pitch

LET'S PLAY A GAME: Where do you identify on the 3 continuums below?

Are the people around you similar or different? And how might that affect your learning and playing preferences? This is what Barometer does: help teams find effective ways to play together. Because what happens in a game often mirrors real work.

People often lump team building into one category of offering. Barometer XP sees more nuance and that differentiates how we position our L&D outcomes.

We also think the individualism and sovereignty around facilitating with play is crazy. Professionals in the space can and should learn from each other. Our product will be built by facilitators, for facilitators. Think TripAdvisor, but a catalogue for vetted games and play-based resources.

What drives our philosophy is a theory of play that we call the Pressure Matrix. Inspired by best practices of organizational development and mental health, Barometer XP offers ways to target workplace pressure points with games and simulations. The secret is all about knowing how to match game dynamics with opportunities for team growth.

We believe $250,000 in 2022 can catalyze Barometer XP's service engine and generate at least 2X in annual 2023 sales. With increased cashflow, brand awareness, and training community, we plan to build out the subscription product to position Barometer XP in the L&D market as an innovative leader.

In 2024 and beyond, we will continue to grow the product with more facilitator input as well as unique simulations where teams can track learning and growth. Barometer XP has already developed a prototype web-based simulation to start getting facilitator feedback around key functionality and experience.
