When I was 16, I took my first jump out of a perfectly good airplane. After a thrilling line twist and a few other correct procedures, my dream of first flight came true—and I lived.

There have been many other first flights since then— first solo, first formation flight, and first flight in a jet—each one inspiring me to explore the technical unknown and create better aircraft and capabilities for the future. 

Today, I am fortunate to be surrounded by experienced aviators, engineers, operators, technologists, and business leaders who are eager to share their knowledge and bright ideas to develop a new kind of VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) aircraft. This aircraft will enable a multitude of ‘first flights’ and new capabilities in commercial logistics, medical delivery, military operations, and more. 

However, great ideas require much more than vision and inspiration to succeed. Bringing a new aircraft to its first flight requires leadership, perseverance, careful planning, and a community of dedicated and inspired supporters - who are also impatient for the future!
