Everipedia, the crowd-sourced online encyclopedia that raised $129,878 from 201 investors on Wefunder back in December 2016, announced today that it raised $30 million from Galaxy Digital’s Ecosystem Fund. Launched in 2015, Everipedia will be using the money to expand a database it says now has 3 million monthly unique users and more than 6 million encyclopedia entries.
This is the second piece of big news surrounding the company recently -- in December, Everipedia announced that Wikipedia co-founder Dr. Larry Sanger had joined the company.
For more information on the $30 million raise, Fortune posted a good breakdown earlier today.
