AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) is a globally respected nonprofit professional association that plays a critical role in advancing national defense and intelligence capabilities by fostering collaboration between government, military, industry, and academia. It serves as a trusted forum for thought leadership, innovation, and strategic dialogue on topics like cybersecurity, information technology, and secure communications—making it one of the most influential organizations shaping the future of defense technology and policy.

The TechNet Emergence conference, hosted by AFCEA, is an annual event focused on preparing the U.S. Department of Defense and broader national security community for next-generation threats and technologies. It brings together military leaders, government agencies, industry innovators, and academia to explore emerging capabilities in areas such as Zero Trust architecture, AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, software supply chain security, and secure communications.

Specifically, TechNet Emergence 2025 emphasizes operational readiness through innovation, with sessions and exhibits designed to help decision-makers understand and adopt new technologies critical to modern warfighting and defense infrastructure.
