You'll find FLY listed at the top of the Travel adventures shelf of the Meta Quest store.

Hi Everyone!

Excited to report a strong Q3 2024 following our successful August launch of FLY on the Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro stores. FLY was a Top seller among thousands of apps on Quest, not once but twice during two promotions.

Our FLY app starts with the magic of exploring the entire earth in VR, based on Google Earth 3D imagery. The magic is enhanced by dreamlike flight made possible by our patented motion controls. Fly your personal drone at any altitude, from street level up into space. Cover continents and oceans in minutes or teleport to any location using search. Choose a streaming music station to set the mood for your journey.

The latest update v1.3, released last week, includes a day-into-night animation option: the earth and sky are lighted and colored by the rising sun and dimming moon, through mid-day, until the sun sets and the scene darkens into night. The animation can be set from one to 30 minutes. This capture of a 24-hour flight over the Grand Canyon compressed into 3 minutes conveys the experience. Here’s the first new review:

FLY revenue on Quest increased 6x after store listing and revenue from all products on both platforms grew 3x. Quest store reach (the number of Quest users who see the FLY store listing) increased 2,000% from an average of 600 to an average of 13,000 daily, after spiking to 100K during the Summer promotion.

The FLY update released last week coincides with the first shipments of the new $299 Quest 3S. Full store listing and the major update positions FLY well for the holiday season when the Quest installed base is expected to grow significantly as newly purchased Quest 3S come on line. FLY will participate in Black Friday and Christmas promotions.

Meanwhile the company is pursuing a number of cost reduction measures to materially reduce expenses which, combined with revenue growth, will help the company achieve the goal of cash flow positive operations.

FLY has opened new partnership doors, including interest from a major airline to potentially engage VirZOOM to develop a Virtual Travel and ticketing version of the app.

If you haven’t tried FLY yet, you’ll find it here. You’re in for a magical experience that some reviewers call “the best use of VR ever.” And tell your friends, too.

Thank you for all the support you've given us to achieve this important milestone.

All the best,

Thank you for the update and encouraging news. From the little I know, "Start Up" success does not come easy and does take time. Onwards and Upwards!!
Start-ups are a bit like rock bands. Most fall into obscurity. Those that become successful are often perceived as "overnight successes" because most people don't become aware of the band until after it has broken out and become a name in popular culture. Review the actual history of just about any "overnight success" band and you'll learn about a 10-year struggle, endless and exhausting touring around the world, performing in bars and small venues, until they've honed their act to perfection and then catch a lucky break: they are "discovered" by a producer who puts them through the grueling music promotion process. If they hold together through all of that, then they become a "overnight success." There are a handful of exceptions in the start-up world, like the team that started YouTube that went from inception to a billion $ acquisition in nine months. But the vast majority are like Slack: took that team a decade to go from a tool developed for internal use to a product that met the requirements for mass adoption by businesses, and many underlying Web services had to evolve to let that happen, such as cloud services. We're on the Slack track, dependent on developments in the VR industry for continued growth and execution on our product roadmap. We're getting there, slowly but surely.

Cost reduction measures to basically keep the lights on is not what we wanted to hear. But then again the majority of Wefunder companies NEVER become profitable and flame out in a year or less or just quietly disappear after not even giving us an update for months on end. Thanks for the update but I consider all of my investments in Wefunder the same as throwing the money out into the wind. And I have invested in over 50 of them!
Sorry to hear you are having a poor experience with some of your investments. We've grown revenue significantly in Q3 2024 and Q4 is looking even better. Every well run company needs to always be looking for ways to reduce expenses. That's how you get to profitability, by both increasing revenue and cutting costs.
Just keep it going! Great news!
