The EMD Clinic in Jasper Texas has two Medical Assistants trained to use the medical equipment to present patients to remote Physicians. This allows the remote physician to comprehensively examine the patient. The Jasper Clinic has the following capabilities :

1.      Vital Sign Monitor

2.      EKG 12 lead EKG.

3.      ClearSteth Stethoscope for Heart and Lung sounds.

4.      General Exam Camera with Pan, Tilt and Zoom.

• This is used for Video Conferencing between the Remote Physician, the Patient, and the Medical Assistant.
• The Tilt is used to look at the ankles for Edema for example in Nephrology patients and the Pan and Zoom to watch the patient walk across the Examination room for Neurology patients.

5.      Total Examination Camera is a very high-resolution camera to examine specific areas with various attachments:

• Otoscope attachments for Ear.
• Tongue Depressor attachment for throat.
• Derm Hood and Variable polarizing Hood for Dermatology. It is used examine moles, lesions, eyes for very crisp videos or images.

6.      Point of Care Abdominal Ultrasound for quick examination of Internal Organs.

The first Video shows how the basic Consult works. The next three videos show how the Medical Assistants use Point of Care Ultrasound to quickly obtain Bladder, Heart and Kidney image on one of the window under the supervision of the remote Physician.
