FREEHOLD ENERGY RNG LLC TO BUILD $US 18 MILLION RNG PROJECT IN MICHIGAN TO IMPROVE PROFITABILITY FOR ITS DAIRY CLIENT
Renewable Natural Gas Facility Will Produce Fuel to Move 1.7 Million Miles of Freight, Prevent 17,200 Metric Tons of Carbon Equivalent from Entering the Atmosphere Each Year
Freehold Energy RNG LLC “Freehold” is pleased to announce it has signed agreements with a major confidential dairy client in Michigan to produce renewable natural gas from dairy manure feedstocks with engineering design and permitting already in progress for construction of an $US 18 million facility scheduled to produce clean renewable natural gas starting in 3Q2023.
This offers the dairy client the ability to focus its resources on expansion of its dairy operation as the industry continues to consolidate while improving profitability at the same time. Final investment decision to proceed to construction is expected in 2Q2022.
The new facility will produce 0.3 million gasoline gallon equivalents (GGE) of renewable vehicle fuel annually — enough fuel to move 1.7 million miles of freight. Once operational, the RNG Facility:
· Dramatically reduces greenhouse gases by limiting methane emissions from the dairy and carbon emissions from trucks – totaling to an annual emissions reduction of 17,200 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
· Flips a substantial cost – managing dairy waste – for our Freehold client into a significant revenue stream.
· Employs three full-time positions.
“Freehold’s experienced development and operational team has a pipeline of projects in progress and expects to announce a series of new projects in 2022 and beyond across America to improve America’s dairy farming profitability and sustainability by providing creative energy, land and operational solutions to North America’s agriculture to build the most efficient, profitable next economy agriculture of tomorrow.”
