I am working on getting the 26 referrals. I must admit, it seems too good to be true.  I will get a free base model Aptera, if I get 26 friends to order? Can I use those credits towards an upgraded model?

Kareem, you can ;) If you get 35 referrals, for example, you would just get a $35k credit on any model with add-ons you'd like or $9k a second Aptera. Thanks for the support! 

I have a question in regards to the solar energy on top of the car, what is the depreciation on the solar? My house currently has solar panels and I believe the company had stated 5% loss after 5 years. Similarly, does the solar of the car has any depreciation value? I have pre-ordered the car as well but have not received any coupon :( is there any way for me to get one also? Lastly, I love this technology you guys are doing and I can't WAIT to drive one!!! 

Umair, thanks for the support! Yes, we expect that the solar will degrade over time but we hope to do better than 20% degradation over 20yrs. And each panel will be replaceable and upgradeable. Hopefully, the solar tech will be far superior in 10yrs and even cheaper than $2-ish/watt. We can't wait to deliver you an Aptera will very capable solar :) 

Hi Chris, how do i request a dealership in Canada? i think it's very important to build a support service outlet for these vehicles, i would like in on the ground floor. Also i would like to know if i can advertise and promote this amazing product to gain the referrals needed to receive a free vehicle? I also can't wait to drive and promote...

Is the Paradigm+ the version that does 3.5s 0-60, or is that a later 3-wheel-drive version (Paradigm++ or Paradigm+^2)? If it's a later version what do you expect the price to be on it?

John, these first two editions are built for efficiency and thus are just front-wheel drive with a 0-60mph speed of 5.5 seconds. But we know there are a lot of people that will want or need all-wheel drive which will do 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds. So we will offer all-wheel drive as an option and we will announce this pricing along with other options in just a few weeks. At this same time, we will show off our new development vehicles and open up pre-orders ;) Thanks for your continued support and we can't wait to take some pictures of the Aptera up north in the beautiful scenery you have up there :)

I've added 500 to my original 500 dollar investment.  I don't think I'll be able to afford a new car by the time it comes up for preorder, but hopefully it won't be long after that.  The lack of a federal tax incentive hurts unfortunately.

Bradley, thanks for the extra support! We are working on "ultra-efficient EV" credits that will apply to the Aptera. But it maybe next year before we see any movement there. Can't wait to see the pics of you rolling in your new Aptera :) 

Just curious how you're going to manufacture these vehicles with the needed efficiencies if you can't even get pre order coupons out on time?

The costs and requirements to bring a vehicle to production scale is enormous. Are you really doing it? The Elio has flatly failed after taking thousands of deposits. 

Robert, I can't speak for Elio. But we have a very unique manufacturing process that scales much more quickly and cheaply versus steel vehicles with ICE engines. We KNOW there's a LOT of work ahead and we are just starting our journey through development, funding, prodctionizing, funding, ramping-up, funding, and constantly improving till success. But we have to start somewhere and we think we're on a good path so far. Thanks for the comment and questions.

So cool to see you guys making good progress! I’m super happy with the prospect of a version with ample range and power for an affordable price.

I’m trying to get other Dutch people to invest, but I really need one definitive piece of information. You state Aptera will be available worldwide “including the European market where possible given regulations.”  Could you post a list for which countries you are sure that regulations will not be a showstopper? Are we sure if it will be available in the Netherlands? If not, please contact me, maybe I can try to find people who can pull strings.

Our preliminary research tells us that if we meet EU specs for autocycles we will be able to import into pretty much EU country and most outside EU adjacent as well. It is a paperwork shuffle for sure. But being 3 wheels makes it self-certification and being EV means there's no separate motors regulation issues ;) So we hope to be delivering, pretty much, worldwide right from the start, with some exceptions, of course.  

I am curious, do you plan to attain Federal government orders for your vehicles? If yes have you contacted the executive branch to establish a plan to open more mfg facilities in the many opportunity zones created by Pres. trump?  If demand is high but mfg throughput is low isn't now the time to work a plan to open plants in opportunity zone get government subsidies and build platforms outside of California a State being run into the ground?

Getting listed on the GSA for government purchases would be great. But this is not a near term goal for us. This process takes a long time and it is much easier when you've been in production for a while. But eventually, we'd love to help make our governments travel become more efficient overall :) Thanks for the suggestion!
